san fran fan

...i really hope blogger doesn't consider this "adult content"
because i really pared down the graphic photos for this post.

the trip to san francisco last week was a blur.
from the culture to the drug use to the people
to the sweaty mass of gays running around at folsom
to the sheer excitement of seeing missed friends
i really had a wonderful and memorable time.

leather daddies and cubs roamed the streets on sunday, sept 25,
looking for hedonism, fulfillment, and perhaps
someone to water their blooming rosebuds.

i caught up with candice and chatted about unemployment.
it's nice to know we're still on the same wavelength about things.
we agreed that folsom was a mere pup in comparison
to our experience at the christopher street day festival in berlin.

digo and katharine rounded out the trip.
can you believe i hadn't seen them in over 14 months?!
we warehouse raved, smoked, SFMOMAed, chatted and ate,
and i really wish we lived closer to one another.

last but certainly not least is anna!
the last 2+ months since germany have seemed a lot longer,
and it was amazing to run through the fields into her arms.
i wish we had more time together, but it was nice nonetheless
to meet her friend cooper and talk about food orgies.

Oomph!

i ate 3 chicken döners in 1 day... a new personal record!
some fatlings could eat that in one sitting for an appetizer. one day!

beer pong in treptower park turned out the be really fun,
as well as volleyball with some guy who licked mayo off the ball at one point.
very delicious overall!

jessica can braid some ukranian president-inspired hair!
candice and i became hair twins (we were already sickness twins).

jessica mixes up the gene pool and we become triplets!
the styles unfortunately didn't last forever.
perfection is temporary, i suppose.

smashed bike on street mirrored my smashed bike in potsdam.
angry drunks are the worst for beautiful wheel craftsmanship.

more jumping in the streets of berlin leads to
convulsions in the sky. i like!

ginger tea, coffee with honey, sweet chili sauce

it's been fun times with candice lately.
she's introduced me to a lot of amazing food combos
and interesting things in general.
we went to the Inauguración Expo Umsetzen at the Freies Museum,
and it was a pretty mixed media / crowd with overpriced drinks.
ate some turkish food and drank red wine per usual.

some couple invited me to their house,
and i wasn't sure what their intentions were,
but they live right by where i work,
so who knows when i'll run into them next.

6 paintings turned out to be 6 line sketches on paper
plus some other works i can't remember.
what is it with student art that's so forgettable?

7 weeks DE + NYC days + SF visits -> good times!

Electronic Town

the C/O Gallery was such a sanctuary
in opposition to the (still) disgustingly cold and rainy berlin weather.
our tutor mel invited us, but later ditched us at the coffee shop afterwards.
i don't think she likes ginger tea.

pretty amazing photography in some cases.
the photos really make me want to travel
and take more photographs while i'm here.
my favorites are below:

Anne Schönharting (Auroville, India)

Sibylle Bergemann (Berlin, Germany)

Heinrich Völkel (Gaza City, Palestinian territories)

Pepa Hristova - "Electronic Town" (Tokyo, Japan)
